Online Algebra Workshop: Equations!

Schedule: 6-sessions, Meeting Monday and Wednesday on Zoom for 3 weeks for one-hour live sessions with Michael Waski

Cost: $175

During this workshop, Michael Waski provides instructional lessons for teaching the following skills: Order of Operations / Inverse Operations, Solving Linear Equations; Solving Simple Non-Linear Equations. This workshop will also touch on  what is needed to do advanced quadratic equations, such as factoring, completing the square, and the quadratic formula.  

Format: 4 live-webinars with lesson instruction, then follow-up independent work and in-class assignments. (All webinars will be recorded and shared with participants.)

Course content:   Week 1 : Order of Operations,   Concept of an Inverse, Materializing One-Step Equations with Integers,   Passage to Abstraction, Solving Linear Equations with Fractions   Week 2: Solving Two-Step   Equations, Solving Multi-Step Equations, Solving Simple Quadratics, Solving   with Any Power, Solving Imbedded Linear Equations, Solving for   Variables,    Week 3: advanced quadratic   equations, such as factoring, completing the square, and the quadratic   formula.       Format: 6 live-webinars with   lesson instruction, then optional independent work and videos. (All webinars will be recorded and shared   with participants.)

Thursday to Sunday - watch assigned videos and read assigned chapters from Algebra book (optional)      

Optional Help Desk: Michael   available for 30 min/2x week for questions.   

Certificates of Completion will be emailed to the participants at the conclusion of the workshop (16 hours)
