Online Algebra Workshop: Graphing

Schedule: 6-sessions, Meeting Monday and Wednesday on Zoom for 3 weeks for one-hour live sessions with Michael Waski

Cost: $175

This online workshop will concentrate on the foundational lessons on graphing, including the coordinate plane, activities on the coordinate plane, and transformation of graphs.

Course content:   

Week 1: history, parts of the coordinate plane, naming points, graphing equations through x-y   charts, midpoint and distance formula, slope and linear equations       

Week 2: parent graphs, horizontal and vertical translations, vertex form, scaling factors, complete transformations, games and extensions    

Week 3: linear equations through algebra such as algebraic manipulations withnslope intercept form, rewriting linear equations, point slope form, line given two points and solving systems of equations                 

Format: 6 live-webinars with lesson instruction, then optional independent work and videos. (All webinars will be recorded and shared with participants.)

Thursday to Sunday - watch assigned videos and read assigned chapters from Algebra book (optional)      

Optional Help Desk: Michael   available for 30 min/2x week for questions.   

Certificates of Completion will be emailed to the participants at the conclusion of the workshop (16 hours)
